Now Orange features even more exciting Internet services, including accessing your Orange Mail from your WAP enabled phone

Orange's expanding Internet services now feature diary and email alerts, email available on your WAP phone via Orange mail and even a home page which you can personalise to suit your preferences, such as the weather in your town or your horoscope update.

Since it's launch in November 1999, Orange has significantly evolved it's mobile internet services, and on 1st August 2000 these services were extended to everyone, although there are some restrictions for prepay and customers who do not use the Orange network.  The current site address for these services is www.orange.net.

What are the main features?
  • WAP email - lets any customer with a WAP enabled phone read, reply or create email while on the move without needing their PC, by simply keying in their orange.net account user name and password into their phone.
  • Email - access to Orange Mail at orange.net allowing you to use 5MB of storage space, or if the customer uses it as their ISP, Outlook Express is provided on the Orange Internet CD, so you can download all emails in one go, saving time online.
  • Free email alerts - direct to any UK mobile phone to notify users when they have new mail, which is especially useful when they don't have access to a PC at the time.  Customers can set filters to distinguish mail on particular subjects or from particular people.

  • Free diary alerts - direct to their phone to remind users of important appointments, events or Birthdays, minutes, hours or days in advance.

  • 15MB free webspace to create their own home page if the customer uses it as their ISP.
  • Usenet news for their area of interest or hobby if the customer uses Orange as their ISP.
  • 30 FREE text messages every month sent from their PC to any UK mobile phone.
